According to the March issue of Auto Motor und Sport, Volkswagen has killed plans of developing a production version of Golf TDI Hybrid .

Why?

Well like with any automakers these days, the cost of producing the car doesn’t make economical sense to the guys in the leather seats.

Interview about Volkswagen Scirocco Design - Marc Lichte, head of exterior design !

The third generation Scirocco sport coupe seats four people in what Volkswagen calls 'a surprisingly spacious interior.

Marc Lichte explains in the two part interview that they tried to combine sporty car and larger coupe ideals into the small Scirocco, resulting in its extreme dimensions. The new front end is a homage to the original Scirocco, just as the bend in the front window. The distinct shoulder line creates a very flat and stretched image of the car.
