I understand . It's very difficult altough you could try this method : Open the google translate page. So it is the Elegance model with some extra options. From what you said I think the Maxi-Dot is an extra option, and from what I've noticed the 16" Lyra rims are also extra option. Or, may be these options are standard for Elegance if you bought the car from a Greek dealer.

I bought the car in Greece, where I live, on July 2009. Actually, my wife bought it. It's not really mine... :)

At that time, the Elegance edition included everything my car is equipped with. I did not add anything extra, apart from the REALLY crappy floor-mats and the Elser E-877 aftermarket alarm (both were "gifts" from the local Skoda dealer).

So, the Lyra alloy wheels and the MFD (MaxiDOT) were "standard" in the Elegance edition.

The tyres (including spare wheel, but no alloy there) are Continental SportContact 2, 205/55/16, made 1909.

The car cost 17580 Euros (cash) on July 2009, including everything (all taxes, preparation, etc.). The only extra money were for Car Insurance and gasoline. :icon_cheesygrin:

Keep in mind, however, that it was a special price at the time (lower local taxes up to August 2009). I don't know what the exact price is today, but it's certainly much higher.

Also, the Elegance edition in Greece does not currently include the electrically folding mirrors and the drawer underneath the passenger's front seat.

We chose "Candy White" for four reasons (in order of importance):

1. It looks really good! :icon_cheesygrin:

2. 500 Euros cheaper (It is not metallic).

3. It is a lot cooler during summer.

4. You don't have to wash it every other day (like the black ones). :icon_cheesygrin:

If you mean "why did you buy this specific model", I guess almost everybody answers the same: Because it was the best car we could afford.

("Best" being a totally subjective term, of course... It has to do with what each one of us considers "of value").

i was referring why you didn`t had an other option at the engine ( like you said , diesel or 1.8tsi ) but you gave a complete answer. 1.4 is a good engine but i was just curious if you took a thought at other engines. take good care of the car

Cars running on diesel AND for private use (not taxis, not mini-vans, not trucks) AND registered in Greece (Greek license plates) are not allowed in Athens and Thessaloniki.

The price I mentioned was the final one. It included the so called "circulation tax" for 2009. It was approximately 200 Euros.

It is a yearly tax paid by all car owners.

In 2010, "Circulation tax" became "Circulation tax AND environmental tax". EU5 cars benefited by this change. For our car, we paid 184 Euros for 2010.

In comparison, for a 1.6 lt, 1999 car, the 2010 "circulation tax AND environmental tax" is 302 Euros.
