Audi - modelul A1, unul dintre cele mai populare automobile premium din Europa, dispare de pe piață

image.thumb.png.2073762afd75ceaab9f255405aa3fcad.png

Așadar, vom părăsi segmentul”, a spus șeful Audi.

The new Taigo makes its European debut

The stage is set for a new body shape from the Volkswagen brand: With the new compact crossover Taigo, Volkswagen is launching an SUV coupé on the European market for the first time. The front-wheel drive Taigo is a real crowd-pleaser with its trendy crossover body style, raised seating positions, pioneering connectivity and unrestricted suitability for everyday use. The rear of the five-seater car slopes backwards in the style of a coupé, without restricting headroom in the back seat. This sees Volkswagen expand the portfolio of the compact Polo (hatchback) and T-Cross (SUV) models built on the MQB platform with a third chassis variant, which has previously been primarily reserved for high-end models. Numerous latest-generation assistance systems guarantee optimum comfort and a high level of safety for all passengers. The Taigo is set to make its virtual European debut on Thursday 29 July at 8:00 a.m. CEST.

The new Taigo focusses on design, individuality and emotion. With full LED head-lights, an all-digital cockpit and the latest generation of infotainment systems (MIB3) as standard, the SUV coupé measuring in at just under 4.26 metres sets high technology standards in its class. The expressive body shape is the first of its kind in the Volkswagen brand’s model portfolio. With a crossover body style and a silhouette like that of a coupé, the new Taigo – just like its Brazilian counterpart the Nivus – is perfectly equipped for winning over new, predominantly young and young-at-heart groups of buyers for Volkswagen. The technical basis of the Taigo is Volkswagen’s MQB. Depending on the options selected, the Taigo also comes with the new IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights and an illuminated radiator grill crossbar.

The Taigo’s design is characterised by strong proportions, with the silhouette like that of a coupé being particularly striking with the C pillar slanting well forward. Inspired by SUV coupés in higher vehicle classes, this makes the Taigo unique in its sector.

On the inside, the Taigo scores with an elaborately designed multifunctional steering wheel and modern control elements as standard. The infotainment systems are based on the third generation of MIB3, including an online control unit (eSIM) and “App Connect Wireless” (depending on the configuration). Features such as access to streaming services, natural voice control and cloud-based personalisation using “Volkswagen ID” allow the use of the latest MIB3.1 services, depending on the configuration.

And when it comes to driver assistance for more comfort and safety, the new SUV coupé is very similar to Volkswagen models from higher sectors. Every Taigo comes with assistance systems such as the surroundings monitoring system “Front Assist”, including city emergency brake function, and the lane departure warning system “Lane Assist” as standard. “IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist” is available as an optional extra, enabling semi-automated driving up to a system-determined top speed of 210 km/h.

si comunicatul de presa oficial:

Volkswagen is once again speeding up the transformation to electric mobility with its ACCELERATE strategy, making sustainable mobility accessible to even more people by 2025, a whole two years earlier than originally planned, Volkswagen will launch an ID. family model for the small car segment. It will cost approximately 20,000 euros. The ID. LIFE concept car, which was presented at the International Motor Show IAA MOBILITY 2021 in Munich, gives an impression of how a vehicle of this type would look.

The vision of a fully electric small car for the urban environment is centred around people and communal experiences. The concept car combines sustainability and digitalisation with extremely flexible usage: the ID. LIFE can become a mini cinema or a gaming centre, for instance, or simply be used for relaxing in the open air.

“The ID. LIFE is our vision of next-generation fully electric urban mobility. The concept car provides a preview of an ID. model in the small car segment that we will be launching in 2025, priced at around 20,000 euros. This means we are making electric mobility accessible to even more people”, says Ralf Brandstätter, CEO of the Volkswagen brand. “In creating the ID. LIFE, we have consistently focused on the needs of younger customers. We believe that, even more so than today, the car of the future will be about lifestyle and personal expression. The customer of tomorrow won’t simply want to get from A to B; they will be much more interested in the experiences that a car can offer. The ID. LIFE is our answer to this.”

Pared-down design. The design of the ID. LIFE is strikingly clear, pared-down and high-quality. Decorative elements and add-on parts are dispensed with, as is any complex mix of materials. The horizontal division between the body, glass surfaces and roof also contributes to the car’s purist appearance. An individualised and removable roof made of air chamber textile lends an open-air feeling in the ID. LIFE, while also reducing the vehicle weight.

Electric motor drives the front wheels. The ID. LIFE is based on a smaller variant of Volkswagen’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB) that has been developed specifically for the small car segment. This is the first time a vehicle based on the MEB has front-wheel drive. With its 172 kW (234 PS) electric motor, the ID. LIFE accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, while its 57 kWh high-voltage battery enables a range of some 400 kilometres (WLTP).

“The ID. LIFE proves once again how uniquely flexible the MEB is. The platform is suitable for vehicles of all types, from small cars to vans,” says Thomas Ulbrich, member of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management for Development. “It’s the most scalable electrical architecture in the industry. We’re just beginning to tap into the potential of MEB. Performance, charging capacity and range will continue to improve with each new model and software update.”

Natural and recycled materials. The sustainable character of the ID. LIFE is reflected particularly in the choice of materials and paint finishes. In the clear coat for the bodywork, wood chips are used as a natural colouring agent along with a bio-based hardener. The air chamber textile for the roof and front cover is made from 100% recycled PET bottles. In the interior, wood in the dashboard and rear seat surrounds is combined with ArtVelours Eco for the seat surfaces and door trims. Bio-oil, natural rubber and rice husks are just some of the materials that serve as a basis for the tyres on the ID. LIFE.

Multifunctional interior. The ID. LIFE is a reliable companion for digital experiences of various kinds. For example, it can be converted into a cinema or gaming lounge in no time at all. The vehicle comes with a video game console and projector, as well as a projection screen that extends from the dash panel when required. Other devices can be connected as needed to the 230-volt / 16-amp power supply in the interior. The seating design, too, is extremely flexible, in keeping with the idea of the car as a companion for all situations and lifestyles. For instance, the front seat bench can be completely folded down, as can the rear seat bench. This enables a range of different possibilities, from cinema seating, to a bed measuring around two metres in length, to a cargo version that maximises luggage volume.

Innovative digital operating concept. Cameras and a display replace both the exterior and interior mirrors. Essential driving functions are controlled via a touch panel on the hexagonal, open-topped steering wheel, and a smartphone can be integrated in the operating system. Personal devices – whether smartphones or tablets – can be used to operate the navigation system, for instance. Music, films and games stored on the device can be used seamlessly in the ID. LIFE, with visuals displayed on the projection screen.

ACCELERATE strategy is speeding up the transformation process. The expansion of the ID. family into the small car segment at prices starting from 20,000 euros is another key step towards fully electrified mobility. By 2030, Volkswagen aims to increase the share of all-electric models in total vehicle sales in Europe to at least 70 per cent and in North America and China to at least 50 per cent.

Volkswagen ID.5 Pro Performance and ID.5 GTX

On the “Way to ZERO”: The new ID.5 does more than just expand the successful ID. family; the new Volkswagen launch moves the electrification of its new car fleet forward and into a new market segment. The elegant, expressive E-SUV coupé is equipped with the new ID. software version 3.0, which includes improved charging performance and voice control among other features. With the use of swarm data and latest-generation driver assistance systems, Volkswagen is also taking the next step towards automated driving.

“The ID.5 is electric, sporty and elegant. Our premium SUV coupé with all-electric drive marks another milestone in our ACCELERATE strategy,” says Ralf Brandstätter, brand CEO. “It offers locally carbon-neutral driving enjoyment for a discerning customer group. We are breaking into a completely new market segment with this model.”

Elegant and dynamic design, outstanding aerodynamics, extensive range. The new ID.5 and the sporty ID.5 GTX with dual-motor all-wheel drive are the new, long-range top models in the ID. family. Like all ID. models, Volkswagen’s first e-SUV coupé is based on the Volkswagen modular electric drive matrix (MEB).

“The ID.5 is the body style of the future: aerodynamic, expressive, sporty and, thanks to MEB, with short overhangs,” says Jozef Kabaň, Head of Volkswagen Design. “That’s how we have been able to ensure a spacious interior despite the dynamic roof line – this simply wasn’t possible before.”

The new software generation 3.0 allows for over-the-air updates and activation of additional functions, so that the ID.5 can stay up-to-date for a long time. Innovative assistance systems such as Travel Assist with swarm data allow for an even more relaxed and predictive driving experience. The new optional Park Assist Plus with memory function will take care of personalised parking processes on request.

At 4599 mm long (ID.5 GTX: 4582 mm), the e-SUV coupé from Volkswagen will launch in 2022 with three engine options. The ID.5 will be powered by an electric engine in the rear. The dual-motor all-wheel drive of the ID.5 GTX will be powered by an e-motor on the front and rear axles.

“The electronic Vehicle Dynamics Manager is a groundbreaking development by Volkswagen,” says Thomas Ulbrich, member of the Board of Management for Technical Development. “We have networked it with other important control systems, and it is also integrated with the all-wheel control function. This brings an entirely new level of sporty driving pleasure, traction and driving safety.”

All ID.5 engine types are powered by a large, long-range battery. A low drag coefficient of 0.26 (or 0.27 in the ID.5 GTX) increases efficiency and boosts the vehicle’s extensive range. This capability is further supported by the integrated spoiler in the wide-opening, aerodynamically shaped tailgate. Electric cooling air vents in the front of the vehicle open only when necessary, so as to ensure optimal air flow.

The new Volkswagen e-SUV coupé projects independence and uniqueness from every angle. The characteristic LED technology, with light strips on the front (optional) and rear, unmistakably identifies the ID.5 as a member of the ID. family. Many features – including the striking bumper, painted door panelling and new roof line – set the e-SUV coupé apart from the ID.4, which was named World Car of the year. The expressive coupé design has a high recognition value. Its large air inlet and IQ.Light LED matrix headlights with intelligent high beams and 3D LED rear lights as standard give the ID.5 GTX an even more dynamic appearance. The Vehicle Dynamics Manager networks the drive and chassis control systems, while an optional adaptive DCC chassis ensures optimal driving dynamics. The ID.5 and ID.5 GTX coast in driving mode D and recuperate energy in mode B.

The new body style and lounge-like spatial concept highlight the innovative power of Volkswagen and its ID. family. Despite its coupé-type shape, the ID.5 has just 12 mm less headroom in the back than the Volkswagen ID.4. The long 2766 mm wheelbase facilitates interior spatial conditions comparable to those of SUVs in higher vehicle classes. The luggage compartment volume is 549 litres, and the materials and manufacturing of the vehicle are of premium quality. Seat covering materials vary depending on the interior version. The optional Top Sports seats are distinguished by perforated ID logos at the top of the backrests.

The ultra-modern digital cockpit offers a new operating concept. The driver display and high-resolution multimedia system deliver strikingly brilliant visuals. An innovative augmented reality head-up display (optional) within the driver’s field of vision presents additional information. The new ID. software 3.0 features various improvements including natural voice control (“Hallo ID”.) It is now learning-enabled and enables online access to information from the Cloud. For atmospheric interior lighting, the Ambient Lighting feature offers a choice of up to 30 colours. We Connect services provide the driver with real-time online traffic information, online map updates, information about charging stations, web radio and much more.

With Car2X communication, Volkswagen is taking safety to a whole new level. Data from compatible vehicles in the Volkswagen fleet and signals from infrastructure within a radius of up to 800 metres can be locally interpreted in a fraction of a second, enabling driver alerts about dangerous areas, accidents and stationary traffic. The ID. Light in the cockpit helps by providing visual warnings.

With the ID.5 and ID.5 GTX, Volkswagen is tapping into an entirely new market segment and thereby advancing its electric offensive in all vehicle classes in the framework of its ACCELERATE strategy. By 2030, at least 70 per cent of Volkswagen’s unit sales in Europe are expected to come from electric-only vehicles – that is equivalent to more than one million vehicles. In North America and China, the goal is that electric vehicles will account for at least 50 per cent of unit sales. To achieve these goals, Volkswagen is launching at least one electric vehicle onto the market every year. The CO2emissions per vehicle are set to decrease by up to 40 percent by as soon as 2030. On its “Way to ZERO”, the company is planning to become climate-neutral by 2050 at the latest.

The new ID.5 and the sporty premium ID.5 GTX with dual-motor all-wheel drive are manufactured at the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau and are carbon-neutral upon handover to the customer. When charged using 100 percent green energy, the vehicles are already virtually climate-neutral. With its We Charge charging system, Volkswagen offers the fastest-growing environmentally friendly system for convenient, networked and sustainable charging. The network has around 250,000 charging points across Europe. Using the standard Mode 3 cable, the e-SUV coupé can also be charged with up to 11 kW of alternating current (AC), even when it is out and about. Charging performance can reach up to 135 kW as standard at a fast-charge station.

The new Volkswagen T-Roc: expressive design and innovative technology

image.thumb.png.8d204e22e15a921cef1c04e72e0583b2.png

World premiere for the new T-Roc: With a fresh design, innovative assist systems and numerous digital services, Volkswagen is continuing the success story of its compact crossover model. A sharpened exterior defines the unmistakable appearance of the new T-Roc, T-Roc R01 and T-Roc Cabriolet. The interior was refined with high-quality materials, a redesigned Infotainment display and the Digital Cockpit as standard. Innovative technology from higher vehicle classes has now been integrated into the compact SUV model family – in the shape of IQ.Light, with LED matrix headlights, and the assist systems of IQ.Drive with Travel Assist, as well as predictive ACC cruise control. In this way, Volkswagen is making great strides towards becoming a software-oriented mobility provider as part of its ACCELERATE strategy.

The combination of a progressive look, sporty performance and rock-solid versatility have made the T-Roc a popular, best-selling car over the course of the last four years. Without a direct predecessor, it became a key pillar in Volkswagen’s product programme overnight. Since its market launch in 2017, more than one million units of the compact SUV have been sold. Since the end of 2019, the model range has included an extremely sporty T-Roc R01. Since the spring of 2020, the T-Roc Cabriolet has united the strengths of an SUV with the option of driving with the top down.

Sophisticated interior, sharpened exterior design

With a foam-backed surface and distinctive seams, the new dash panel brings modern and top-quality design highlights to the interior of the new T-Roc. The Infotainment display is now designed like a tablet and positioned on the dash panel in a line of sight with the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. Depending on the equipment, the Infotainment display measures either 8.0 inches or 9.2 inches. The compact SUV comes as standard with a digital instrument cluster which is optionally available at a size of up to 10.25-inches as the Digital Cockpit Pro. The multifunction steering wheel, which is also part of the standard package, has a new design that contributes to the vehicle’s intuitive control.

High-quality fabric door trim is now standard. In the Style and R-Line equipment lines, door trim and arm rests are made of leatherette and boast designer seams, just like the head restraints. Another feature of the Style equipment line are the centre panels of the comfort seats in ArtVelours. In conjunction with the R-Line, top-of-the-range sports seats for both driver and front passenger (previously only to be found in the T-Roc R01), as well as Nappa leather upholstery, are available as an option.

The lines of the new T-Roc exterior have been sharpened, making its unmistakable crossover design all the more striking. LED headlights and darkened rear lights are included as standard. IQ LIGHT with LED matrix headlights and an illuminated radiator grille strip, as well as tail light clusters with a new graphic structure and dynamic turn signal are available on request. Five new colours of exterior paint and newly designed 17- and 19-inch alloy wheels provide customers with even more opportunities to customise their car.

New levels of digitalisation and connectivity

The new T-Roc comes with the advanced assist systems Front Assist and Lane Assist as standard. Moreover, the new IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist and Predictive Cruise Control enable assisted steering, braking and acceleration at speeds of up to 210 km/h. By integrating the signals from the front camera, as well as GPS and map data, the vehicle control system can incorporate local speed limit information, town boundary signs, junctions and roundabouts.

The new T-Roc features the third generation of the Modular Infotainment Toolkit (MIB3), This enables the use of a variety of online-based functions and services. We Connect Plus services can be used free of charge in Europe for one year as part of the standard package This means that natural online voice control and streaming services are available. Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ functions can also be integrated wirelessly into the control system via App-Connect Wireless, if desired.

Efficient TSI and TDI engines, 7-speed DSG and 4MOTION available as option

In the diverse drive portfolio of the new T-Roc there are three TSI and two TDI engines to choose from. Depending on the selected drive, a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG powers the front axle. The 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder engine has a maximum output of 81 kW (110 PS). The four-cylinder drives generate 110 kW (150 PS) as a 1.5-litre TSI and 140 kW (190 PS) as a 2.0-litre TSI. The range is rounded off with two 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder engines offering an output of 85 kW (115 PS) and 110 kW (150 PS) respectively. As an alternative to front-wheel drive, 4MOTION all-wheel drive in conjunction with the 110 kW (150 PS) diesel engine ensures superior power transmission. The 2.0-litre TSI with 140 kW (190 PS) is combined with 4MOTION as standard.

Available in a basic version and three further pre-configured equipment lines

The T-Roc can be adapted even more easily to individual tastes, thanks to the reorganisation of equipment lines. In addition to the basic T-Roc version, the compact SUV is available throughout Europe in the newly configured versions Life, Style and R-Line. The Style equipment line boast two-tone paintwork, additional chrome elements, background lighting and convenience seats in the interior. The R-Line exterior design and equipment is now based to an even greater extent on the top model T-Roc R. The unique character manifests itself in many ways such as in a striking, sporty bumper design and multifunction sports steering wheel with touch control. In addition, the new T-Roc in conjunction with the R-Line equipment line has a sports package including driving profile selection, progressive steering and sports running gear. Moreover, customers can opt for a Black Style design package in conjunction with the Style and R-Line equipment lines. Its exterior and interior black design elements create a subtly sporty look.

The new T-Roc R: versatile performance

With its 221 kW (300 PS) four-cylinder engine, the new T-Roc R is the most dynamic compact SUV of the model family. The standard sports running gear and 4MOTION all-wheel drive also contribute to this. Aside from the distinctive sound, the sporty performance is also visually accentuated in the interior and the R-specific exterior. The newly designed sports leather steering wheel features touch controls and the model-specific R button for direct access to driving profile selection.

The new T-Roc Cabriolet: Driving fun, freedom and a zest for life

The new version of the T-Roc Cabriolet signalises now more than ever driving fun, freedom and a zest for life. As an open-top crossover model, it unites the robustness of an SUV with the pleasures of a convertible. The new T-Roc Cabriolet features an electrically operated, three-layer, fabric soft top that can be opened in under nine seconds. The open-top four seater comes in the Style and R-Line equipment lines. Customers can choose from a 1.0-litre TSI engine with 81 kW (110 PS) and a 1.5-litre TSI with 110 kW (150 PS)

As soon as the end of this week, the new T-Roc and new T-Roc Cabriolet are available for order; the new T-Roc R is available from the beginning of the new year. In spring 2022, all models will then be available from dealers.

The entry price for the new T-Roc with 1.0 TSI engine is 23,495 euros (incl. VAT); prices for the new T-Roc Cabriolet start at 31,850 euros (incl. VAT) in the Style equipment line with the 1.0 TSI engine.
