Charismatic all-rounder with all-wheel drive: new Golf Alltrack now available to order

image.thumb.png.6ea2f8e038970c17eb764024a86768b0.png

The Golf Alltrack is a crossover of Golf Variant and SUV. A new generation of the all-wheel-drive all-rounder is now being launched. It is based on the eighth, completely new Golf generation. Traction is delivered by most powerful turbocharged diesel engine (TDI) ever used in a Golf with an output of 147 kW (200 PS)01. The rugged all-terrain equipment includes unique bumpers, wheel arch extensions and side sills, engine skid plate as well as increased ground clearance. Including navigation system, prices in Germany start from 39,337,6402 euros.

With the new Golf Alltrack, Volkswagen is now rolling out a new member of the extensive Golf product line. The Golf Alltrack is designed to master all roads and tracks under all conditions. With its 4MOTION all-wheel drive, 15 mm higher ground clearance and the all-round body protection (wheel arches, sills, lower bumper sections), the Golf Alltrack is equipped for exactly that. At the same time, the Volkswagen with a top speed of up to 229 km/h offers a very high level of travel comfort and space for five persons plus luggage (611 litres).

The all-round characteristics are matched by an NEDC fuel consumption of only 4.9 to 4.8 l/100 km. This means that ranges of around 1,000 kilometres are possible between two refuelling stops. It is also a fact that the very powerful TDI engine (400 Nm torque) is one of the cleanest of its kind worldwide. This is achieved by the use of innovative twin-dosing technology: here, double AdBlue injection in two SCR catalytic converters03 arranged one after the other converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) into hydrogen and harmless nitrogen.

As the flagship of the Golf Variant models, the independent Alltrack offers exclusive standard equipment that cannot be configured in this combination for other models in the product line. The all-round all-terrain cladding is finished in matt black. Accents in matt chrome look are also used on the side sills and in the front bumper. These visually match the burnished 17-inch Ronda alloy wheels and the silver roof railings. As the only Variant model, the Alltrack is also equipped as standard with an LED light strip in the radiator grille (between the LED Plus headlights) and LED fog lights in a striking X formation.

As standard, the lifestyle all-rounder also features driving profile selection with an additional off-road mode that makes driving on off-road terrain even easier. The other standard equipment of the Golf Alltrack includes interior background lighting (adjustable in 30 colours), high-quality interior accents (Nature Cross Brushed), the Discover Media navigation system including App-Connect Wireless (smartphone integration) and DAB+ (digital radio reception), heated comfort seats at the front with Alltrack lettering in the backrests, a multifunction steering wheel in leather and stainless steel pedals.

In addition, all Golf Variant models feature details such as the lane keeping system Lane Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking Front Assist with City Emergency Braking System and Pedestrian Monitoring, an oncoming vehicle braking when turning function, Driver Alert System, the electronic differential lock XDS and the Car2X local warning system. Also always on board: the Digital Cockpit Pro (digital instruments), the We Connect and We Connect Plus online services and functions, the Air Care Climatronic automatic air conditioner, the keyless comfort start function Keyless Start, a Bluetooth mobile phone interface, comfort seats as well as LED headlights and LED tail light clusters including automatic headlight control.

Azi am avut drum pe la PBV1 și am nimerit tocmai când aduceau noul Golf 8 Variant în showroom.

Arata interesant; în spate este clar mai mult spațiu decât în versiunea precedenta.

Well-balanced and sporty at the same time – the new ID.4 chassis

image.thumb.png.cb804050b66666140609279f3f7020a2.png

Nimble in the city, agile on country roads, relaxed on the highway: the new ID.4 from Volkswagen is an all-rounder that is effortless and easy to drive. Volkswagen has invested a great deal of know-how in the chassis of the E-SUV – in the mechanical components and the electronic control system.

image.thumb.png.64a334df30aa497e51ef523086bfd126.png

“The purely electrically driven SUV ID.4 is great fun to drive, similar to the compact ID.3,” explains Karsten Schebsdat, Head of Driving Dynamics, Steering and Control Systems at Volkswagen. “In its chassis, we have implemented numerous ideas and new control systems that further increase safety and driving pleasure.”

Sporty handling due to low center of gravity. The ID.4 already offers the best prerequisites for a great driving pleasure. The rear-wheel drive ensures strong traction – the driver experiences this already when they arrive at a set of traffic lights in the wet. The high-voltage battery is located between the axles at the lowest point of the car. This benefits the center of gravity and weight distribution: with all drive variants, it deviates from the ideal value by no more than one percent, 50:50.

The front axle of the ID.4 follows the McPherson design, the steering is translated with a 15.9:1 ratio. For the first time at Volkswagen, the steering system is located in front of the center of the wheel, this position guarantees high stability during fast cornering. At the rear is a complex new development – a compact five-link suspension with a subframe that is elastically connected to the body.Parts of the suspension are made of lightweight aluminum to reduce weight.

Large wheels and powerful brakes. The range of wheels for the ID.4 starts with the 18-inch format, either in steel or aluminum. Starting with the ID.4 Life model, 19-inch wheels are standard; above that, there are only light-alloy wheels with 20- or 21-inch diameters. Although the large wheels in the wheel arches take up a corresponding amount of space, the ID.4 only requires a turning circle of 10.2 meters – extremely little for a car in its class.

The wheels are aerodynamically optimized by their flat design, the tires have low rolling resistance. In the ID.4 Pure and ID.4 City entry-level models, they are 235 millimeters wide at the front and rear, with cross-sections varying according to wheel size. All other ID.4 models roll off the production line on combination tires – 235 millimeters wide at the front and 255 millimeters at the rear.

The robust E-SUV has powerful brakes – the discs on the front axle of the ID.4 models with the 77-kWh battery are 358 millimeters in diameter. Drum brakes operate on the rear wheels. Their pads are designed to last the lifespan of the car. Corrosion is impossible, although the brakes are rarely used in everyday driving. Most of the deceleration is performed by the electric motor, which recovers energy in the process.

Progressive steering, DCC chassis control and driving mode selection. With the “Plus” sports package (in the top model ID.4 Max), the ID.4’s chassis takes on a whole new form. One of its two components is the Progressive Steering, which works more and more directly as the steering angle increases – its ratio ranges from 15.9:1 to 14.5:1. The other component is the DCC adaptive chassis control, which works depending on the road surface and the driving situation. It regulates the characteristics of the damper on each wheel 200 times per second – this enables a high level of ride comfort or a tight connection to the road.

The DCC and Progressive Steering are coupled with Driving Profile Selection, which gives the driver a choice of four modes. Eco, Comfort and Sport are preconfigured. In Individual mode, the driver is given additional setting options on the central display: They can select fine intermediate levels between Comfort and Sport or make both modes even more extreme – in other words, even more comfortable or even more dynamic.

The Vehicle Dynamics Manager. When the driver wants to, the ID.4 takes corners very quickly, stably and almost naturally – also thanks to the electronic Vehicle Dynamics Manager, which works closely with the stability control ESC. Volkswagen has introduced it in the new Golf. The Driving Dynamics Manager controls the wheel-selective brake interventions of the XDS electronic transverse drive lock and the work of the DCC damper control. It uses a digital target model to achieve optimum driving and steering behavior in every situation. As soon as the vehicle turns into a corner, the ID.4 behaves more spontaneously, linearly and accurately.

The ESC in turn cooperates closely with the control units for the electric engine and the power electronics. Although a rear-wheel drive car tends to oversteer in principle, this networking ensures that the rear wheels of the ID.4 find stable grip in every situation – during full acceleration, when cornering fast and when decelerating by brake recuperation. This traction control – another innovation at Volkswagen – is speed-based. And it takes place automatically every millisecond, i.e. so fast and therefore so gently that the driver hardly feels it.

Start with eight models. The ID.4, Volkswagen’s first fully electric SUV and the brand’s first electric world car, will be launched after the 1ST Edition with eight preconfigured models. The high-voltage battery is available with 52 or 77 kWh energy capacity (net), the range is up to 520 kilometers (WLTP). The electric motor is available in three power levels between 109 kW (148 PS) and 150 kW (204 PS).

The future of mobility is electric. As part of the “Transform 2025+” strategy, the Volkswagen brand is investing eleven billion euros in electromobility by 2024. The ID.4 is the second model of the ID. family following the ID.3. This new product line has recently been added to the brand’s traditional portfolio. The term ID. stands for intelligent design, identity and visionary technologies.

Powerful 320 PS Performance version of the successful SUV: new Tiguan R now available to order

image.thumb.png.04cd15e73ea43344b31b9b46c50ffc9e.png

Volkswagen is launching the most powerful Tiguan to date: the Tiguan R. With a power output of 235 kW (320 PS), the SUV accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Featuring a newly developed all-wheel drive system, the Volkswagen with a top speed of 250 km/h fascinates with outstandingly agile and confident handling. The new Tiguan R combines the dynamic performance of a sports car with the variability of a Sport Utility Vehicle. It is now available to order. Price in Germany: 56,703 euros.

The latest generation of the EA888 evo4 – an icon among sporty turbocharged engines (TSI) – is responsible for delivering the SUV’s vehement power. The four-cylinder engine already provides its maximum torque of 420 Nm as low as 2,100 rpm; the TSI maintains this high torque at a constant level up to 5,350 rpm. This power is distributed tofour wheels by the new all-wheel drive system: 4MOTION with R-Performance Torque Vectoring. Volkswagen has implemented a rear final drive with two multiplate clutches for the first time. This system does not just distribute the drive power between the front and rear axles, but also distributes it variably between the left and right rear wheels. With the new all-wheel drive system, Volkswagen has noticeably improved handling agility when cornering in particular. With this system the Tiguan R sets a new benchmark for SUV driving dynamics.

The Tiguan flagship was developed by Volkswagen R. The sporty DNA is not just to be found in the turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive system of the Tiguan R, but also in its extensively customised equipment. Taking the exterior as an example: the standard equipment here includes bumpers in R design with aerodynamic elements in high-gloss black or the car body colour, exterior mirror covers in matt chrome, a unique and also high-gloss black rear diffuser, black wheel housing extensions and 20-inch Misano alloy wheels. And in the interior: the Tiguan R sets itself apart from the other models in the product line with features such as the premium sport seats with integrated head restraints and R logo developed exclusively for this model, a customised Digital Cockpit with integrated lap timer, as well as R-specific decorative trim (Carbon Grey). The decorative trim elements are illuminated via the background lighting. Also illuminated: the R logo in the aluminium front sill panel mouldings. The pedals are made of stainless steel.

The extended technical R equipment includes a powerful 18-inch brake system including blue brake calipers (with R logo at the front), a DCC chassis (with adaptively controlled shock absorbers) lowered by 10 mm, and a driving profile selection enhanced for the Tiguan R with an additional R profile. This particularly sporty mode can be activated directly by means of a blue R button on the new multifunction sports steering wheel. This is also equipped with separate large paddles for manual control of the 7-speed DSG dual clutch gearbox (DQ500). The standard equipment also includes deactivatable ESC as well as a four-branch sports exhaust system. Optionally available: a titanium exhaust system from Akrapovič and 21-inch Estoril alloy wheels. The exterior of the Tiguan R can also be personalised with the Black Style design package; in this case, selected add-on parts are finished in black.

The Tiguan is Europe’s most successful SUV

A Tiguan left the production line every 35 seconds last year – a new record for the product line. The story of this bestselling model began in 2007 with its world premiere at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. Later that year, the first Tiguan came onto the market. In 2011, Volkswagen unveiled a major update at the Geneva Motor Show. By then, 700,000 units of the Tiguan had already been produced. With the new version, the annual volumes passed the mark of 500,000 units for the first time. The IAA in Frankfurt in September 2015 provided the stage for the world premiere of the second Tiguan generation; the sales launch followed in April 2016. The importance of the product line increased further in 2017 with the debut of an XL version with lengthened wheelbase under the name Allspace. In 2019, one in seven of the 6.18 million Volkswagen cars manufactured was a Tiguan – 910,926 vehicles, to be precise. The annual volumes have therefore increased almost eightfold since the first full year of production.

Zero local emissions: Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake available with plug-in hybrid drive from 26 November

image.thumb.png.1c1771ca917ac5a8ad085394338a6ff5.png

Volkswagen’s hybrid offensive is gaining even more momentum: the new Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake are already available as plug-in hybrid models. Prices in Germany start from EUR 51,064.37 for the Arteon eHybrid with a hatchback and from EUR 51,927.06 for the Arteon Shooting Brake eHybrid. The avant-garde Volkswagen models impress in the business class segment with their own unique style and a high level of efficiency. Thanks to electric ranges of up to 59 kilometres (hatchback) and 57 kilometres (Shooting Brake), their drivers can achieve zero local emissions for the majority of their day-to-day trips.

The electric ranges of both Volkswagens are ideally tailored to the typical usage habits of the modern driver. Taking Germany as an example: according to a study published by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, 95 percent of all daily car journeys are shorter than 50 kilometres. As such, the majority of trips in Europe’s most populated country could be completed using the electric drive in the Arteon eHybrid and Arteon Shooting Brake eHybrid.

Zero local emissions at speeds up to 130 km/h: When using the electric motor – and therefore emitting zero local emissions – the two new Arteon models can drive at speeds up to 130 km/h. At higher speeds, the efficient four-cylinder TSI engine (turbocharged petrol engine) is activated on top.

A range of over 900 kilometres: Over medium to long distances, the electric motor helps to reduce the TSI's consumption as the hybrid system enables the petrol engine to be completely switched off on a recurrent basis. The energy required to provide electric support is recovered using brake energy recuperation during the journey. If the new Volkswagens start their journey with a fully charged (from a socket) lithium-ion battery and a full tank of fuel, they can achieve high combined ranges of more than 900 kilometres.

image.thumb.png.867ab09cb81e17c45092c07fea97399e.png

Fun behind the wheel thanks to electric booster: System power of 160 kW (218 PS) and system torque of 400 Nm create a superior driving performance. Both Arteon models accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 222 km/h. However, it is the day-to-day performance that makes the difference: As soon as the vehicle is started, the electric motor delivers a high level of torque straight away; in conjunction with the TSI, it also acts like an electric booster. The plug-in hybrid system is also extremely quiet.

eHybrid available as “Elegance” and “R-Line”: The Arteon eHybrid and Arteon Shooting Brake will be offered in the two premium specification packages, Elegance and R-Line. Elegance offers an emphatically sophisticated configuration, while R-Line focuses on dynamics. On the outside, both packages feature their own individual 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights including Light Assist (automatic main-beam control), dynamic turn signal in the LED tail light clusters, and individual front aprons.

Alcantara, leather, genuine wood and chic metals: On the inside, the standard equipment is enhanced by seat covers in Alcantara/leather, genuine wood (Elegance) or metal applications (R-Line), aluminium-look pedal caps, and touch islands on the leather multifunction steering wheel. What is more, both specification packages leave the factory with details including driving profile selection, seat heating in the front, and a front and rear parking aid (Park Assist).

Assisted and connected: In general, every Arteon is also equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control ACC, Autonomous Emergency Braking Front Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display, and progressive steering that is as sporty as it is comfortable. The standard interior equipment package comes with Digital Cockpit Pro (digital instruments), an 8.0-inch Infotainment system with a navigation function (Discover Media) and DAB+ (digital radio) and illuminated touch sliders for the electronically controlled automatic air conditioner.

Asadar Skoda Superbia va ramane singurul sedan mediu produs in UE (chiar daca are portbagaj cu hayon) in gama non-premium.
